Alexandra Ahearn
Alexandra has been visiting art museums with her mother and grandmother since she was born and has been inspired by artists such as Kandinsky and Van Gogh for almost as long. Her grandmother’s eye for design and her mother’s innate artistry ensured that becoming a creator was baked into her blood.
She started painting with oil in her twenties and loved the medium for its’ rich texture and dramatic color. Painting was a direct tap deep into her heart that she had never experienced before. Art is a feeling process for her.
This year, she traveled the country and pushed out of her comfort zone by painting big on canvas with even brighter colors. She unexpectedly took up acrylic painting after a fellow artist joked that her oil paintings would never dry on Maui (she was right…).
She is dreaming of bigger canvases, art school, massive murals, and one day having an art studio of my own overlooking the forest.
