Carly Sargent Piel
Carly fell in love with fusing glass after taking a class at Maryland Hall for the Creative Arts in 2001. She purchased several kilns, a bunch of glass, set up a home studio and started selling her functional art and other inspirations at craft shows and local galleries.
Carly is known for her line of “Carly’s Angels”, her sailboats, birds, ornaments, wind chimes, window, wall and standing art. She recently started making her own one-of-a-kind glass pieces she calls “Journey Stones”. These are made into jewelry and incorporated into her ornaments, birds, fish, small plates and platters and larger wall art.
Commissions are welcome whether it be for a functional, whimsical or architectural piece.
About Carly
Growing up in a seaside New England town, and living beside the Chesapeake Bay for over 30 years, her love of the outdoors, water and sailing is reflected in many of her designs. Carly enjoys staying active, spending time with family, and when she is not doing that or spending time in her studio, she can often be found on the pickleball courts.
