Michelle Lillie
Michelle Jones-Lillie, an American artist based in Maryland and Florida, specializes in site-specific art and mixed-media sculpture. She adeptly works with traditional sculptural materials such as glass, clay, and metal, as well as non-traditional materials and found objects, to convey various concepts and emotions related to the human condition.
She has served as Professor of Object Design at Jacksonville University, where she was head of the Glass and Sculpture departments, blending her passion for creating art with her love of teaching. From 2009 to 2020, Michelle taught glassblowing, fusing, casting, and flameworking, as well as mixed-media sculpture courses for all ages, at her small community arts center, Lillie Pad Studios, in Millersville, MD. Her artworks have been exhibited in several national galleries and public installations. Michelle earned her master’s in fine arts from the University of Hawaii at Manoa.
