Robert Neales

Artist Robert Neales transforms sheets of aluminum into creative works that are filled with color, depth, and movement. He also creates beautiful artworks through the use of other materials such as wooden planks, canvas,​ and paper. His art is a reflection of how he responds to life – his emotions, his experiences, his values, beliefs, and choices – the sum of what makes him unique.​

​Robert is a self-taught local Maryland multidisciplinary artist whose work blends several practices together including painting with India ink on aluminum using various tools to grind into the metal to give each piece depth and movement, India ink on paper, oils on wood using the natural wood grain as part of the subject matter, oils on traditional canvas, and colored pencils blended using turpentine on paper. He paints and draws many different subjects to include ballet/dance themes, sea life, animals,​ African themes and people, and landscapes. He is deeply invested in using all media to capture each subject​ that he’s passionate about.
