Christina Young
Christina Young is a local artist from Severna Park, Maryland.
An acrylic artist, Christina’s paintings range from farm animals and barns to our
local waterways of Severn River and the Chesapeake Bay including boats,
lighthouses, and oyster shells. If the mood strikes even a mermaid painting may
appear! Christina is inspired by both the combination of design and layout,
understanding of shapes and negative space, capturing the mood of the subject
matter, telling a story through her paintings, and purely enjoying the process of
color meeting canvas. Christina’s range and combination of illustration and graphic
design skills lend to her enjoyment of painting. Her favorite periods of art
movement are Impressionism with Claude Monet’s brush strokes and Pop Art with
Wayne Thiebaud’s design and use of color.
